Cosmorrhyncha tonsana (WALKER, 1863)

Brazilian states of Amazonas, Bahía, and Pará, and the Costa Rican provinces of Alajuela and Guanaca
Superficially, C. tonsana is easily separated from all other congeners by its mottled forewing pattern and short labial palpi. The costa of the forewing is strongly bent at about 0.6 the distance from the base to the apex, and the labial palpi lack the conspicuous metallic bluish-black dorsal scaling characteristic of all other Cosmorrhyncha.
