Seitz: Forewing blackish violet, intermixed with coarse olive and white scales; transverse lines marked by olive scales, rather indistinct, the posterior line dentate; ring-macula marked black, the reniform macula of a pure white, crossing the median downwards; the undulate line consists of small black internerval spots; fringes with white dots on the ends of the veins. Hindwing dirty white, distally brownish. Expanse of Avings: 23 mm. Costa Rica (Irazu)
