Seitz: Shows monotonously blackish-brown forewings with a silky gloss, the inner margin broadly dusted with dark grey, with fine transverse lines scarcely visible on the dark ground, without maculae, the fringe white at the apex; hindwing blackish-brown, a small spot and the fringe at the anal angle whitish- grey.
