Cloesia digna is an uncommon species found in the South of Costa Rica, between 100 and 1200m elevation.
C. digna is recognized by having the body and for ewings above dark metallic purplish-blue. Hindwings dark brown, thinly scaled, with somewhat semihyaline streaks on basal and median area, below discal cell. Androconial pouch on hindwing present.
