A robust and larger species with developed red pattern: complete along costa up to the black apical patch, the first half of the internal border is largely reddish including the forewing base; the second half is generally blackish. The apical patch is large, thinly bordered by black on top and largely obscured by dark scales on the underside (LAGUERRE M. 2023: Revision of the genus Lepidoneiva Travassos, 1940: resurrection of several species.
