Original description

Type locality: Costa Rica, Alajuela, Guatuso, PN Volc. Tenorio, Laguna La Carmela, Fca. Juan Jarquin, 700-800m

Nystalea jeremyhancei in Costa Rica cannot be confused with the other species of this genus due to the external morphology of the adults. Costula proximally flattened, with one thin lateral projection, distal part elongated, thin, flattened, semicircular shaped at apex.
